Originating from a humble Bah Kut Teh stall, Pao Xiang was built up from scratch by founder Chef Ah Zong, whose success was fuelled solely by the desire to ensure that the history and goodness of Bah Kut Teh – a true blue Malaysian delicacy, could be passed down to the future generations through Restaurant Pao Xiang. A specially formulated ancient technique by using string to tie the meat after marinating to lock in the natural taste with the extra fat easily discarded, and using high quality herbs to cook the soup so that the fragrant meat can be easily extracted. Ah Zong hopes by using the ‘Roaster Bowl’ it will preserve the traditional culture from our ancestors as well. One bowl of Bah Kut Teh flavourful herbal soup brings back memories of the olden days. To date, Chef Ah Zong’s creation has evolved into an upscale establishment enjoying tremendous following from loyal customers.
